Frequently Asked Questions

MURAL FAQ'S

How much does a mural cost?

Each project is unique and is priced individually based on a square footage rate. The cost of a custom mural or sign depends upon several factors: size, complexity, location, and surface. A lot more goes into the making of a mural than people realize. The price given includes thorough client correspondence, custom digital mock-up design options, edits, proper wall prep, materials and hand painting. Depending on the project, additional charges may incur such as city permitting and special equipment rentals.

That said, for those of you who just want a rudimentary reference for pricing, my hand painted wall murals usually fall in the range of $30/sq ft - $45/sq ft. If you have a budget in mind, let me know and I can discuss some options with you.

what is the process for a mural?

  1. Fill out the "Project Inquiry Form". I will then contact you within 2 business days to discuss the project, design ideas, size of the project (please have wall measurements), timeline and budget. If you are local to Dallas-Fort Worth, I offer a free on-site consultation to look at the space and discuss design ideas. If you have a remote project, this can be done online or over the phone.
  2. A contract is sent over and signed. At this time a 50% non-refundable deposit is required.
  3. Once I receive the signed contract and deposit, I will create digital mock-up designs based on our conversations and your vision. You will be allowed one round of edits for no additional charge.
  4. Then the design is approved by the client and the real fun begins! I will start the project on the agreed upon dates. Please be aware that for outdoor murals dates may have to change due to weather.
  5. Once the project is completed, the client is then responsible for paying the remaining 50% of the project invoice.

how long does a mural take to complete?

This depends completely on the size and complexity of the project. With that said, most murals take between 1-5 days of onsite painting. This does not include the many hours spent in preparing and designing each mural.

Murals are typically booked out a few months in advance, but I can sometimes accommodate a rush job, just ask. Let me know if you have a deadline, and I can let you know if I can complete the project in time for it.

Where do you paint murals?

I live in the Dallas TX area, so I mostly paint murals in the DFW metroplex. I will absolutely paint a mural outside of DFW, Texas or even the United States, but additional travel charges will be included.

Other than location, I paint murals for organizations and homes, both inside and outside. If you do not own the building or home, landlord approval may be needed. For all outdoor murals, additional city approval and permits may be required.
